FC Anji held a ceremonial presentation of the Ivorian striker to the team.
Ceremonial presentation of Lacina Traore to the team took place in the Austrian place Irdning, at Anji training ground on June, 30.
New purchase of the club was commented on by the General director of FC Anji Aivaz Kaziakhmedov:
“We are glad having invited such a top player to our club”.
During the presentation Lacina Traore was given a chance to choose his T-shirt number for making appearance for the Makhachkala club: the violet jersey of Anji named Lacina Traore wasn`t numbered. The striker lightly wrote - 19 with a marker. “Will do”, - noted the General director of the Makhachkala club.
Together with the jersey Ivorian was presented with the pamphlet of Anji and the book “My Dagestani Hearth”.
Traore thanked all the present and noted that he believed in the team`s success in the following season. “Taking into account my experience that I gained in Russia – stated Lacina, - this year will be a great success for Anji. And I`ll do my best for it.”
After the storm of applause at the close of the presentation the contract with Ivorian was signed.

General information:
One of the tallest professional players of the world, a native of Abidjan Lacina Traore went in for football at the famous Academy Jean-Marc Guillou that supplied the players for ASEK-Mimosas club. However Traore started his professional football career at the age of 16 at another club of Côte d'Ivoire`s former capital – Stade d`Abidjan where he scored 8 goals within 2 years. In January, 2008 quite young Traore left for Romania – CFR Clij club where he won all possible trophies and kicked 20 goals in 65 matches of different tournaments, scoring at the Euro Cups as well. Ivorian was notable for two times in the group stage of the Champions League 2010. In Feb, 2011 Lacina signed for FC Kuban and scored for it 18 goals at 38 games. On the 29th of June, 2012 Traore was announced to transfer to FC Anji.
