Today all details regarding the transfer of fullback of FC Blackburn (England) to Anji have been settled.
The negotiations were not easy, but the parties managed to reach an agreement on all important aspects and the deal went through. The player has already passed medical examination.
FC Anji expresses thanks to the player as his position had significant importance for the deal.
Samba signed three-and-a-half year contract with an option to extend it for one more year.
Veijeany Christopher Samba was born on 28 March, 1984. Height – 1.94 m. Weight – 90 kg.
The newcomer of Anji was born in the suburb of Paris – Creteil town. The Congolese player started his career with CS Sedan – the club of the second French division. Christopher played 24 games for the reserve and three games for the first team. In 2004 the fullback attracted the interest of Hertha Germany.
In total for the German club in his three years there he made approximately 28 appearances in all competitions, and was invited by Mark Hughes to undertake a five-day trial at Blackburn Rovers. Samba was quite at home in the athletic English football – in 06/07 season he made 14 appearances. It`s remarkable that in some matches the coaches of Blackburn instructed him to play in the position of a striker. Owing to his magnificent headwork Samba regularly shoots at the opponent`s goal with a free and corner kicks.
